Plastic Resins
We offer a wide variety of Plastic Resins for sell. We compound and palletize various types of materials for sell as well as offer a variety of virgin off-spec resins. At Hoehn Plastics, Inc. we have some proprietary blends that we sell as well. For use in the polypropylene market we manufacture our proprietary line of MetaPro products. We offer MetaPro with in a Talc filled version, in a calcium filled version, as well as in a fiber glass reinforced version. In the nylon market we have our proprietary blends of MetaTel 6 and MetaTel 6/6. These are offered fiber glass reinforced as well. We also offer small volumes of a purging compound MetaScrub. We are in the process of developing proprietary blends of ABS, PC-ABS, High Impact Styrene, as well as other materials.

Quality Control

We test all physical properties of plastics that come in and go out of the company.

We test for:

Appearance (bumps, moisture, lamination, layering, separation, porosity)

Melt Flow (How much the plastic liquefies and how much pressure is needed to be inserted into a mold - measured 1 melt to 100 melt)

Izod (Measures flexibility levels and strength to withstand impact)

Specific Gravity & Density (Measures the propensity to float or sink)

Ash Content (Plastic is cooked at 800 degrees which evaporates all of the plastic and leaves the residue of talc, calcium, fiberglass, etc. to calculate ash content to determine shrinkage)

Durometer (test for hardness of plastics)

Transportation

We have drop trailer capabilities utilizing our own trucks and trailers. We have two full time trucks and a fleet of over 40 trailers.
